MELVIN JAMES McDONALD (MEL) Peacefully, in his sleep, on Thursday, April 11, 2002, Mel McDonald, beloved husband of Louise Girouard (Nee Genthon), and loving father of Jennifer Ballentyne passed away at the age of 60 years. Mel will be also lovingly remembered by Jennifers mother Mary McDonald; his grandchildren, Alex, Zachery, Leah; his stepsons, Adam, Matthew, Andre (Charlotte) and their children, Breanna, True and Michael; his sisters, Linda McDonald-Wrensch and son Jesse McDonald, Lorraine Sanderson (nee Wheeldon) sister-in-law Yvonne Wheeldon (nee Lexier) nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mel will be sadly missed by also Louises parents, Mike and Yolande Genthon and families. Mel was predeceased by his mother Mabel in 1966; father Jim in 1980; and brother Ronald in 1989. Mel was employed with Western Paint and Wall Covering for many years and will be sadly missed by his coworkers and many dear friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, Kerrs Funeral Chapel, 120 Adelaide St. Service will terminate at the chapel with cremation to follow. A private family interment will be held at a later date in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery. Kerrs Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, Ph: 943-6688.
