Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGENEVIEVE MARION BRUECKNER Suddenly on Saturday, April 13, 2002, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Gene passed away. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Oscar Brueckner and her sister, Helen Coinner in 1980. Also predeceased by brothers, Jack, Frank and Leonard Coinner. Gene will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Bruce (Susan), Murray (Irene) and Wayne; her grandsons, Derek, Darryl and Dr. Drew (Sara) Brueckner, and granddaughter, Dana (Peter) Carabatsakis and great-grandsons, Brett and Joshua. Gene was born in Winnipeg on August 6, 1906. In her early years Mom developed a love for music which stayed with her throughout her life. She was an active choir member at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer well into her 80s. In addition, Mom was a member of the Sweet Adelines as early as 1954, the 185 Smith Street Choir, McClure Place Hand Bell Ringers and the Fort Rouge Recreation and Leisure Centre Glee Club. Her family would like to especially thank her friends and neighbours who would phone or drop by for a visit. Her home and garden were very important to her and she lived there determined and independently until the day she passed away. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, entrance on Aubrey Street. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Pastor James Scholz will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Genes memory. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
