BENJARDE N. DIMAPILIS March 31, 1948 - April 11, 2002 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Benjarde Dimapilis on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at 11:55 p.m., at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 54, after a courageous battle with cancer. Benjarde will be sadly missed by his loving wife Aurora; his three children, Annabel, Madelaine, and Albert. His mother Fausta; sisters, Florina (Nardo), Angelina (Carmelito), Lilia (Boy), Elvie (Felipe), Ligaya, and Myrna; brother Rodolfo (Carmen) along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends will greatly miss him. He was born in Mendez, Cavite, The Philippines, on Wednesday, March 31, 1948. Benjarde attended school in The Philippines, and served with The Filipino Constabulary for 10 years, and in Canada he worked for Palliser Furniture since 1980. Benjarde was predeceased by his father Imegdio Dimapilis. Lamay (viewing) will be held on Friday, April 19 (prayers at 8:00 p.m.) and Saturday, April 20 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St., with Rev. Fr. Vicente L. Tungolh presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the family residence after the interment. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks, and appreciation to the nursing staff of the 5th floor, Section B, at the St. Boniface Hospital, especially Niki Partridge, Cary Paul, family and friends for their loving care and concern for Benjarde.
