Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMORLEY ELWOOD RICHARDSON August 27, 1920 - April 10, 2002 He was called to his Holy Fathers side after a valiant struggle. Predeceased by his father Bruce and mother Annah; sisters, Audrey and Hazel. Survived by daughter Susan (Joe) Meilleur; son Scott (Maureen) grandchildren, Christen and Regan; and great-grandchildren, Keenan and Reese. Morley began his life in Allandale, ON where he became a star football lineman for the much feared Barrie Collegiate. When War became apparent in Europe, Morley enrolled in Galt Aircraft Training School and was shipped overseas in September 1940. Morley distinguished himself in the Air Force and was discharged honourably as a Flight Sergeant on June 22, 1945. Although Morley had numerous occupations he will be fondly remembered by those who came into contact with him as branch manager, Winnipeg office, of the Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company, a position held for over 20 years. Prairie winters brought Morley to Victoria. A place whose British civility and influence meant a great deal. Susan and Scott would like to express their sincerest gratitude to those who made Morleys life so much easier, Kathy Heatley and Val Murray of TD Canada Trust; Joe Scaletta of Elderly Outreach Service, Marlene, Ed, and Nancy Hutkin of North Park, Dr. Buie, Patricia Clement, Shelly Leary, Central Care, long term health worker, capital health, Memorial Pavilion and Watson 2. Interment service was held at Veterans Cemetery, Victoria, BC. I said to a man who stood at the gate of the year, Give me a light, that I may tread safely into the unknown, and he replied, Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God, that shall be to you better than light, and safer than the unknown way.
