Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIRGINIA SUTTER (nee LAIDLAW) Aged 67 years, beloved wife and mother passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2002 in Vancouver, BC. She will be lovingly remembered by Morley, her husband of 45 years; daughter Michelle; sons, Gregory and Brent; daughters-in-law, Michele and Teresa; and sister Brenda. She leaves behind many friends and relatives across the country. A nurse by training, Virginia began her career in Winnipeg, MB following graduation from the Winnipeg General Hospital in 1956. After marrying Morley, Virginia and her family moved to England and Toronto, ON before settling in Vancouver, BC in 1966 where she raised her family. She returned to nursing in 1977, first working in Shaughnessy Hospital and then as a Research Nurse Clinician until 1996. Virginia was an avid reader, knitter and handicraft doer. We shall miss her love, companionship and raspberry jam. Virginia was an independent, articulate and vivacious woman of great wit and humour, and her warm and generous spirit touched the hearts of those who knew her. A very special thanks to Drs. Cecily Bryce and Keith Hatlelid and the nurses and staff of the Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre who provided superb medical care throughout her illness. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Virginia may do so with a donation to a charity of their choice. No funeral service at her request. To celebrate Virginias memory, Morley and children welcome her friends to a gathering at the family home Saturday, April 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm.
