LUCY MARGARET TRAVERSE-BIRD Suddenly on Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at the Health Sciences Centre Lucy Margaret Traverse-Bird passed away at the age of 34 years. Lucy was born at Peguis, MB on May 2, 1967, spending most of her life in Winnipeg. She enjoyed helping others and had worked at Winnipeg Harvest. She was a very kind and loving person. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, one daughter Pamela; her husband Freddy; one grandchild; parents Stanford and Lillian Bird; grandmother Margaret Traverse; four sisters, Cheryl, Lynette, Charlene and Belinda; five brothers, Joseph, Leon, Darrell, Billy and Randall; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be dearly missed by loved ones, family and friends. Prayers and wake service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Prayers and wake services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2002 and Friday, April 19, 2002 at the residence of Theresa Bird, Little Black River. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. George Anglican Church, Little Black River, MB. Lucy will be laid to rest beside her grandparents, Lucy Agnes Bird who passed away November 29, 1981 and Andrew Bird who passed away March 1980, at Little Black River Cemetery.
