Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY KISELICA Mary Kiselica passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at Meadowood Manor on Wednesday, April 17, 2002. Born in Slovakia on April 28, 1905, she immigrated to Canada, settling in Alberta in 1937 with her two young daughters, to be with her husband Jozef. Together, they operated a farm until 1945, when they moved to Dufresne, MB. They soon became active members of the community. Mary enjoyed doing her part in all the church activities of St. Michaels Chaplaincy. She also enjoyed having her family gatherings. Her home was always opened to the visiting priests who held missions for the Slovak Catholics. She is lovingly survived by two daughters, Anne (Louis) and Josephine (Vladimir) seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew and other relatives both here and in Slovakia. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jozef and her only brother, Vincent in Slovakia. Prayers will be offered on Friday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Funeral mass will take place on Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Bernadettes Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood. Fr. Fred Olds will preside. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, with a reception in the Heritage Room at Green Acres. Pallbearers will be Brent Bednar, Jarred Broesky, Steven Williams, Mark Williams, Michael Broesky and Craig Bednar. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Meadowood Manor and also Villa Youville in St. Anne, MB for the wonderful care Mom received.
