MYRON SPUZAK February 7, 1923 - April 16, 2002 After a lengthy illness, Myron passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on April 16, 2002 with his family at his side. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 51 years, Eda; daughter Mary-Ann and son-in-law Richard Woroniak. Also mourning his loss are sisters-in-law, Mary Spuzak, Jean Merkel, Helen Porco (Guido) brothers-in-law, Fred Manza and Pete Manza (Rose). He will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Steve Kit. Myron was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Steve and Nestor and niece Geraldine. He was born in Cooks Creek, MB, later moving to Transcona where he resided until his death. He was an avid sports fan, loved gardening and his annual trips to Fort Frances. Myron was an inspiration to all who knew him. After suffering a stroke in 1971, he persevered and returned to work at the CNR, two years later and continued to live life to the fullest. He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage, and loved visiting his friends and relatives in Cooks Creek. A special thank you to family and friends for all their help and support during these difficult times. The family also wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to the kind and compassionate staff at the Concordia Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. At Myrons request, a private family service has taken place. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
