DOROTHY K. RICH (nee SHURG) March 25, 1909 - April 17, 2002 Peacefully, on April 17, Dorothy Rich went home to be with her Lord and Saviour. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence in 1977. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children, June (Dave), Dorothy, and Allan (Bev) grandchildren, Wendy, Debbie, Megan, and Tennille; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Daryl, Kaitlin, and McKenna; nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy was born in Morden, and upon moving to Winnipeg worked as a seamstress. She married Clarence in 1935, and they built their home on the banks of the Red River where she enjoyed tennis, canoeing, gardening, and raising her three children. She had a special fondness for all animals. A kind and loving mother, she put the concerns of others ahead of her own, living life to the fullest with a positive attitude, an example for us to follow. Mom worked at the family bakery, helped with the pioneer girls, enjoyed her organ playing, Bellringers, and led a bible study in her home. She brought joy to many lives. "Well miss you mom and we love you". Special thanks to the staff at Holy Family who cared so lovingly for mother. Thanks you to the members of Whyte Ridge Baptist church for their support and visits. As per Dorothys wishes immediate interment has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church at a later date. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
