NORMAN BRAZIER It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Uncle Norman Brazier on Friday, April 19, 2002, with his niece Wendy at his side. He was predeceased by his longtime companion Helen Stewart, his parents, Nell and Allen Brazier; stepmother Ethel Brazier; and sister Irene Perry; as well as a great-niece and nephew, Melanie and Donnie Sawatzky. Norman will be sadly missed by his nieces, Wendy (Bob), Joanne, and Cheryle; as well as his great-nieces and nephews, Marnie, Jamie, David, and Sean; and his great-great nephew Kai. He will also be missed by many other relatives and friends. Norm enrolled in the navy at the young age of 19 and served overseas during the Second World War. He worked for many years at the CN Telegraph office and then as a collector for the Winnipeg Free Press. The love of his life though, was Trout Lake Camp, which he owned and operated for a great number of years. Norm was very proud of "his lake" and he made many lifelong friends there. He will be remembered for his love of animals, feisty ways, his pranks, his jokes and especially his wonderful laugh. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to the kind and compassionate staff at Central Park Lodge I, especially the 9th floor where Norman resided for the past six years. Your love and dedication are incredible - thank you! As well, a special thank you to Normans friend Lorne Huff who has been a tremendous support over the past few years. A memorial service will take place on Friday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. in Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. with Rev. Canon J. Ronald McCullough officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Norman to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation, 70 Stevenson Rd., R3H 0W7 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., R2L 1X3. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
