Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES MARYANNA KENNEDY (nee KRIESE) Peacefully on April 21, 2002, Agnes Kennedy passed away at the age of 74. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband and best friend Earl; daughters, Lynda (Louis), Sandi (Bruce), Rhonda (Don) son Grant (Debbie) and grandchildren, Jeremy, Jaclyn, Michael, Cameron, Braden, Sean and Holly. She will also be missed by many friends and colleagues. Agnes was predeceased by her mother, Maria Kriese (nee Daase) and her father Ludwig Kriese. She was born in Winnipeg, MB in 1928 and spent her youth on the family estate Green Gables in East St. Paul. Agnes met her husband Earl in 1945 and married on September 7, 1953. Together they focused their energies on creating a home for their four children and future generations. Agnes had a great love of music and she followed her dream to study piano and voice at the Julliard School in New York. As an accomplished pianist, she shared her joy of music by tutoring piano students. She persued another love, teaching, and achieved her Masters of Education at the University of Manitoba and taught Home Economics in the Winnipeg School Division for many years. Agnes had a passion for antiques and during her retirement was a member of the Manitoba Antique Association and volunteer curator at the Craftspace Gallery. Agnes also enjoyed many hours at the Conservatory and in her gardens in Winnipeg and St. Malo. Mom loved and nurtured all things that grew, be it gardens, children, grandchildren, education and futures. A celebration of her life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., 885-9715, on Friday, April 26, at 12:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Agnes family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Jeyakumar and staff at Victoria General Hospital. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Friends of the Conservatory.
