ROSE RONDOS (nee SIMKO) 1923 - 2002 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of the sunshine in our lives, our dear beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on April 23, 2002 at the age of 78 years. Long after she has left us, the happiness and joy that she gave to our lives will flourish on in all that knew and loved her. Roses love was always unconditional and without bounds, and she lived her life by the maxim that a smile and a hug were the finest way to greet the world. Her open arms were always there to comfort and congratulate friends and family, and we will all miss this wonderful woman with a heart of gold. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Mary Simko; and by her sisters, Mary Vyrostko and Ann Dzugan. Left to cherish her wonderful memory are her beloved husband John, whose hand she happily held for 54 years; her son John; her daughter Eileen Winter of Edmonton, son-in-law Mark, and granddaughter Stephanie; her daughter Shirley Dyer, son-in-law Denis, and grandchildren, Aleisha, Shaun and Adrian; her daughter Jenny Johnson, son-in-law Robert, and grandchildren, Derek and Catherine; her brother Mike Simko of St. Catherines and sister-in-law Katie; her brother Ed Simko of Welland and sister-in-law Mary; her brother-in-law John Stretavsky of Winnipeg; her cousin Sister Michaelette of Toronto; her cousin Margaret Hritz of Trenton, New Jersey; and her treasured nephews and nieces. The family wishes to acknowledge sincere appreciation to Dr. P. Kerr and to Dr. A. Pacin for their care throughout her illness. Prayers will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. Interment will follow in Garry Memorial Park. Although this is a time of great sadness for all that loved her, we know from her abiding faith that she would want us to celebrate her life as we mourn her passing. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
