JESSIE ANNE CARROLL (nee KIPPEN) Quietly, with her daughter by her side, on Saturday, April 20, 2002, Jessie Carroll passed away at the age of 92, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Roland, MB and was raised and resided for years in Carman, MB. For over 60 years she resided in Winnipeg. The last 16 years was with her daughter Barbara and her son-in-law Peter and their sons, Scott and Kelly. Mum worked very hard throughout her life, especially at the two room and boarding houses that Dad and her owned. She was very proud and happy to be employed for over 20 years as a nurses aid at Conquest Nursing Home. Mums passion was crocheting. She put her love into various crocheted items, which she gave generously to family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Peter) Hinkson; sister Elizabeth Heaman; brother George (Eileen) Kippen; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Earl Carroll; sons Marvin and Bev Carroll; sisters Vera Kippen, Jean Neiles; and brothers, Gordon and Duncan Kippen. The family wishes to thank Dr. Karen Lage, Concordia N1N nurses and staff, all the home care workers, with special thanks to Sheila and Reina. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., Thursday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
