PATRICIA SIDINA MARS (nee CRAWFORD) It is a heavy heart that we must say a final farewell to our mom Patricia (Pat) who passed away suddenly on April 23, 2002. Predeceased by her husband Phil October 25, 1989 and her son Fredrick Phillip Mars February 3, 1997. She leaves to mourn her passing daughter, Susan (Dave) Lovallo; granddaughter Katie; grandson Shawn and great-grandson Jomar; her brother-in-law Chris (Carol) Mars and sister Alice Gallinger in Ontario, along with many family and friends. Mom was born in Ottawa, ON on May 17, 1928, but her roots were soon to be here in Winnipeg. She worked as a custodian for River East School Division No. 9 and transferred to Chief Peguis School before retiring in 1986. She enjoyed life no matter what it threw in her path and treasured the time spent with friends and family. Her Thursday swims and gab sessions with her close friend Audrey and her birthday lunches and bus trips with Josie were always special to her. Tea time at her condo were a joy for her and something that gave her great pleasure. She had many hobbies, but her favourites were doing puzzles and crosswords and playing cribbage. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with Rev. David Lowe officiating. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Dont walk ahead of me, I may not follow, Dont walk behind me, I may not lead, Just walk beside me and be my friend.
