NELLIE OGRODNIK Peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at the Beausejour District Hospital, Beausejour, MB, Nellie Ogrodnik, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Steve Ogrodnik formerly of Thalberg and Beausejour. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Marge Chryplywy (Bill) and her sons, Alex and Gordon; as well as grandchildren, Peter Ogrodnik, Lori-Ann Ogrodnik and Andy Ogrodnik. Also surviving are her sisters, Teenie Solowey of Winnipeg; Helen Pichor of Selkirk; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nellie was predeceased by her husband Steve in 1975; by her daughter-in-law Edith; her sisters, Mary Sawchuk, Pearl Leshko, Annie Klym; and her parents, Joe and Teenie Leshko. Nellie was born in Thalberg on January 5, 1915 and lived there most of her life with her husband Steve. She always thought of her family first and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Her religion was important to her and saw her through many of the difficult times. Prayers will be said on Sunday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Homes in Beausejour, MB. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m. from the St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Thalberg, MB, with Fr. Ivan Demkiv officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Van Rensburg and the entire nursing staff for the excellent care mother received while in the hospital. God bless you all, and thanks to Fr. Ivan Demkiv who came to visit mother.
