Date of Passing: Apr 26, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT JOSEPH LANDRY October 22, 1950 - April 26, 2002 Bob died peacefully at home after a sudden illness. He is survived by his partner Ian Doucette, mother Aurore Landry, sister Claudette Landry and Bob OToole (spouse), as well as many loving family members and friends. His dear father, Raymond Landry, predeceased him on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Bob was a kind, generous man, a true example of a decent person. In all his endeavours he was dependable and dedicated. He was a service agent at Midway Chrysler for 15 years, with only one late on his work record. His enthusiasm for life was expressed through his athletics, as he was an avid runner. He was also involved in coaching hockey and baseball for over 20 years, from little league to junior. He was a tough taskmaster when he put his teams through the drills, but they all loved him when they won the championships! During the Pan-American Games 1999, Bob was the liaison advisor for the Cuban baseball team. In his final years he spent many happy hours with his close-knit group of friends and his two dogs, Tootsie and Maxine. Bob was always a force to be reckoned with over a game of Risk. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, especially Roslyn Greenberg who quickly processed Bobs application for home care, and Astie Ochoa, the palliative care worker who was with us during Bobs final moments. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Augustine United Church, 444 River Ave. Viewing will be before the service, and Bobs cremated remains will be laid to rest at the Holy Angel Mausoleum, Green Acres Funeral Chapel, at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society. Bobs passing was sudden, but hell live on in the hearts of his loving family and friends. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL HOME 222-3241
