Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUIS (LOU) GORDON March 14, l927 - April 21, 2002 Lou Gordon passed away peacefully at age 76, at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his children, Lyle (Rosie), Avrum (Leona) and Donna. Grandchildren, Cody, Chloe, Clarice and Ezra. He is survived by his brother Ralph (Ethel) brother in-law and sister-in-law Morris and Pat Klein; and many nieces and nephews; and Joan Gordon. Predeceased by his parents, Sam and Nettie; his wife Clarice (Diller) and sister Helen Diamond. After serving in the Armed Forces in l945 he graduated with an accounting R.I.A. degree. He worked for various accounting and business firms. Then he built up his own practice becoming the senior partner and owner of Gordon, Walker, Ives and Associates serving many clients for 50 years. He was president of the Gwen Secter Living Center, involved in the Saturday night Yiddish club, Lions Manor Board, and member of the Jewish War Veterans of Canada. He was an active member of the C. for A. Club, a club from his youth still meeting for the past 60 years. He was a member of the Rosh Pina Synagogue. He enjoyed time at Gimli with family and friends. He enjoyed telling jokes and story telling, bowling, sculpting, bridge with friends, and an ardent sports fan. He was a good humoured, kind and sensitive man, well loved by all who knew him. He was always forgiving, never a cruel word to anyone and an eternal optimist. His kindness and generosity will be remembered with fondness by all who knew him. Donations can be made to Canadian Diabetes Society or charity of your choice. Funeral services took place at the Rosh Pina Synagogue with interment at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park on April 23. Services conducted by Rabbi Balser and Cantor Daien. Thanks to his many friends, relatives, home care, medical workers and the rehabilitation hospital who helped in his medical needs for maintaining and improving his life style.
