D. CAMERON REID "CAM" It is with great sorrow we mourn the passing of Cameron Reid on May 2, 2002, at Victoria General Hospital. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 50 years, Edna; his children, Donna (Norman), Murray (Liliane), and Stuart (Debby) and his grandchildren, Kristie, Jeremy, Maraleigh, Phillip, Patrick, Vanessa, Gavin, Keenan, Liam And Siobhan; as well as his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Cam was predeceased by his only brother, James "Murray" Reid. Cam was born in Winnipeg in 1918, and married in 1951. In 1958, he was employed as an audit accountant by the Manitoba Health Services Commission, where he remained until his retirement in 1981. During his life, Cam was actively involved with community sports. He was a staunch supporter of the Blue Bombers and the Manitoba Moose. He was an honorary life member of the Pembina Curling Club and spent many years on the Executive. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren grow up and attending their various activities. He was an avid card payer and spent many hours passing his skills onto his grandchildren. Cams unfailing sense of humour and gentle manner will be fondly remembered by family and friends. A special thank you to all the caring staff at Victoria General Hospital. Their thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place and his funeral will be held on May 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Charleswood United Church, with Reverend Michael Wilson presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 1531 PEMBINA HWY. 284-7500
