MARIA HORVATH 1927 - 2002 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Maria. Cancer took her body over but her spirit was always up. Maria was predeceased by her husband Les in 1986. Maria came to Canada after d in the fur trade until her retirement. She loved to travel and herthe Hungarian revolution with her husband Les and their young son. Maria worke hands were always busy with sewing and crocheting. Her Afghans were always welcome gifts. Marias favourite winter get away was Acapulco. She also visited Europe and the USA many times. Left to mourn her passing is her son Les; grandsons, Ryan and Chris in Winnipeg; sister Rose in Budapest and many good lady friends. Honouring her wishes, a private service was held with Father Leciak. She was laid to rest with her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Thanks to Riverview staff at 3 East and Dr. Mulder. To all of her friends, you know who you are, thanks for your visits, calls, your homemade meals and your support in the past three years. You have made Marias life happier and more enjoyable.
