SIMONE CARMEN ANGELE DOWHAN (nee HAMONIC) January 22, 1937 - May 4, 2002 On May 4, 2002, our beloved wife, mother and Memere passed away at Concordia Hospital. Simone is survived by her loving husband Walter of 43 years. She also leaves to mourn her son Gordon and wife Jamie, grandchildren, Taylor, Beau and Brittany; son David; son Robert and wife Cynthia, grandchildren, Victoria and Christopher; and daughter Louise and husband Grant Bertouille, grandchildren, Brett and Kelsey. She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Marie Hamonic; her brothers, Paul and Fernand Hamonic; and sister-in-law, Lesia Adelberg. She will be dearly remembered by her sisters, Irene, Suzanne, Liliane, Alice, Denise and Nicole; and her in-laws, Ed Bell, Marie Anne Hamonic, Dagmar Hamonic, Jim Sanderson, Ed and Nadia Burke and Norm Adelberg. Simones greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Sunday dinners were the highlight of her week. These memories will be cherished by her husband, children, and grandchildren forever. Simone was loved and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, Munroe Avenue at Brazier Street. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m., also at the church.
