GRACE ROBINSON (nee REYKDAL) 1917-2002 On May 4, 2002, our dear mother passed away in her sleep at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1987, her only daughter Muriel in 1996, three sisters and five brothers. Mom will be remembered with love by her sons, Bob (Gloria), Jim (Glenda) and Chris (Pat) numerous grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Willis and Dolly Weidl; and brother Chris Reykdal, all of Winnipeg Beach; as well as numerous other family members. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg Beach and worked in the area all her life. Beginning with her parents farm and fishing on Lake Winnipeg. She worked at Beach Attractions for many summers, followed by 20 years employment at the Canadian Forces Base in Gimli. During her retirement years, she worked tirelessly producing her wonderful baking for various functions at the Winnipeg Beach United Church. Mom was a kind and generous person whose children received her help and benefited from her many acts of kindness over the years. Our family has lost its "rock". A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the Winnipeg Beach United Church with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Cremation has taken place and the service will terminate at the church. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
