Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD RUSSELL LOUGH Passed away peacefully May 4, 2002 in Brandon with his family by his side. Cliff was born on March 3, 1933 in the RM of Rosedale and attended school in Eden and Franklin. He married Mardy on May 28, 1954 and they settled in Neepawa. During that time Cliff worked for Commonwealth Construction and Murrays. In 1963 Cliff and his family moved to Gladstone where he worked at the Gladstone Garage for the next 20 years. In 1983, Cliff and Mardy relocated to Brandon where Cliff worked at Kelleher Lincoln Mercury until his retirement in 1998. During his time in Gladstone, Cliff enjoyed many years of coaching minor and ladies baseball. He was always very involved with his kids sports, whether he was coaching their teams or on the bench cheering. Cliff always spent a lot of time in his woodworking shop making various items for around the house and for his kids and grandkids and more recently kept occupied on his computer. Cliff also cherished his dog Casey and loved spending time with him and taking him for walks. Cliff was predeceased by his infant son Gordon; his parents, Russell and Elsie; and by his special aunt and uncle, Olive and Lorne Campbell. He is survived by his wife Mardy; and children, Barb (Ron), Brent (Karen), Blayne (Barb), Bradley (Laurel) and Bonnie (Garry). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael (Leslie), Dustin, Rory, Jeremy, Brianne, Riley, Brady, Jessica, Stephen, Cody, Camille, Taylor and Michael. Also surviving are his four sisters, Dot, Olive, Shirley, Ellen; and their families as well as numerous aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Uncle Gordon for his unfailing kindness and all the time he spent with Dad during this time. His special stories on the night of Dads passing were a gift the family will remember and cherish forever. Uncle Gordon, you were just what we needed. The family also wishes to express appreciation to the nursing staff on the 3rd floor of the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon for their excellent care of Dad. Funeral service will be held at Whites Funeral Home in Neepawa on May 8 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cliffs memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
