BERTHA LUDWIG Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Bertha Ludwig passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2002. She was predeceased by her parents Israel and Sonia Slotin; her brothers, Louis and Sam Slotin; and her beloved husband Joseph Ludwig. She is survived by her children, Israel and Maylene Ludwig, Louis Ludwig and Sherri Walsh, and Sora Ludwig and Brent Schacter. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sidura (Jason), Cobi, Avital, Yaffa, Joseph, Isanne, and Jennifer. Funeral services were held at the Rosh Pina Synagogue on Monday, May 6. Active pallbearers were Cobi Ludwig, Paul Kronson, Guy Stearns, Preston Segal, Marshall and Avi Maslovsky. Honorary pallbearers were Ken Kronson, Isle Slotin, Myrna Charach, Miriam Segal, Adele Wortzman, and Norman Shore. Sincere thanks go to the St. Boniface Emergency Room and 5B staff, and to all staff at the Sharon Home for their compassion and care. Shiva is being observed at 224 Lamont Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Joseph and Bertha Ludwig Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba, or to the Sharon Home.
