SCOTT IAN FIFI It is with great sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother Scott Ian Fifi on the morning of May 9, 2002 at the age of 20 years. Left to mourn his memory are parents, Lila and David; siblings, twin sister Amanda and older brother Ryan. Also left to mourn are great-grandparent Oma; grandparents, Karl and Illa Korsch, Ken and Jean Fifi; extended family, Maurice and Ruth Lussier, children, Jennifer and Jessica, Marty and Monique Korsch and children Emily and Luc, John and Linda Fifi, children, Michelle, Jeffrey and Colton, Stephen Fifi and children, Ricki-Lynn, Patrick and Stephanie, Uncle Errol Fifi residing in BC, Kathryn and Greg Kibsey and children, Nicole and Kurt Fischer, Vanessa (Mike) and Collette, Colin and Chris Fifi and children, Shastine and Gavin; as well as many other relatives and friends. Scott was born July 18, 1981 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. He graduated from KERSS in 1999 with a major in carpentry. He enjoyed his work at Palliser Furniture and was well liked by his co-workers there. His charismatic personality was enjoyed by all. Scotts easy-going, fun-loving nature touched many peoples hearts. His optimistic free spirit and charisma naturally drew people to him. Scott had a flair for style. He lived to enjoy life and had many, many close friends. Too many to mention, but the "Bowman Boys" and long time friend Rory deserve special mention. Scott enjoyed playing pool, hockey and socializing. He especially loved his Moms cooking. Scott and his Dad shared a "teasing" nature. Whenever and whatever Scott did, Amanda was not far behind. Big "Bro" Ryan was always looking out for Scott. His loving spirit and generous companionship will be missed immensely. Dear son and brother, In tears we saw you sinking We watched you fade away You suffered much in silence You fought so hard to stay You faced your task with courage Your spirit did not bend But still you kept on fighting Until the very end God saw you getting tired So He put his arms around you And whispered "Come with Me." So when we saw you sleeping So peaceful free from pain We could not wish you back To suffer that again Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same As God calls us one by one Our chain will link again. Love, Mom, Dad, Ryan and Amanda Viewing will be held on Monday, May 13 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. also at Glen Eden Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Scott will be cremated and he will return home to his family. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in Scotts memory can be made to MADD, 6507C Mississauga Rd, Mississauga, ON L5N 1A6. Family would like to acknowledge the professional compassionate care provided by the Winnipeg Police Services and Health Sciences Centre (Emergency and SICU) personnel.
