CHARLES FINGARD On Sunday, May 12, 2002, Charles Fingard passed away at the young age of 98. Charles was predeceased by his loving wife and soulmate Jennie (1996) his brothers, Harvey, Johnny and Finnie; and his sister Rose. Charlie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Morley; daughter-in-law Ruth; and grandchildren, Joel, Beth and Andrew. He is survived by his sister Goldie (Vancouver), sister-in-law Sue (Halifax) and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dad loved a celebration and looked forward to any family event. He was a regular at Gwen Secter Senior Centre as well as the Monash Branch of the Canadian Legion. Charles was an outstanding furrier and designer who received his training at the New York School of Design. He was one of the few remaining craftsman who performed his trade with much pride. It seems somewhat fitting that he left us on Mothers Day to be with mum. Family extends their deepest thanks to the nurses on the 5th floor, Unit 4 at Seven Oaks Hospital and to Dr. Patel for their kindness and superb care in making dads stay as comfortable as possible. Graveside services were held at Shaarey Zedek Memorial Park, Monday, May 13. Contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
