KAY TESLUK 1913 - 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our aunt Kay Tesluk on May 13, 2002 at Fred Douglas Lodge. She was a real champ and fought hard with her illness. No more suffering, Auntie, you are now at peace. Kay was predeceased by her mother Mary, father Steve, sister Ann, and brother Bill. She leaves to mourn her sister Jean Podolchuk of Elma, MB, and many nieces and nephews. Kay lived at Fred Douglas Lodge for almost three years and will not be forgotten. She was one of a kind and very independent. She was tough on the outside but caring on the inside and spoke her mind. Many didnt know her at the Lodge, but they knew who she was as she said to Fred Douglas Lodge staff, "shes the boss". They never had a patient like her before so fiesty and determined. Her sense of humour was great and made them all laugh. She loved children, animals, picking berries and going to her home town of Elma. When Kay first came to Winnipeg to live, her first job was at the Denver Restaurant, then she worked at Eatons and then Soloways. She lived through the Depression years and never forgot it. Special thanks to the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge for their loving care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Thursday (today), May 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Pastor John Lenshyn officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Hapin, Murray Chaban and Ted Stewner. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
