Charlie was born in Aubigny, MB, attended school in Winnipeg and later joined the Fort Garry Horse Regiment in 1939. He served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany taking part in the D-Day invasion and returned in August 1945 when he moved to Selkirk. He enjoyed his daily coffee breaks with friends and former co-workers. He will be remembered for his love of family and sports and his sense of humour. We will all miss Charlie very much. In compliance with Charlies wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Many thanks to Anne McRae, Edie and Orville Marshall, Dr. Fuchs, Dr. Hussain, and the great compassionate nurses who cared for Charlie and his family.
