BERT NATHANSON With sadness we announce the passing of Bert Nathanson. Left to cherish his memory are his dear sister Janey Jacobson; nieces and nephews, Joni and Steve Little of Los Angeles, Brenda and Larry Booke of Winnipeg, Nathan Jacobson and Lindi Bjornstaad of Toronto, Miriam Jacobson and Semyon Pertsovsky of Toronto, Allan Booke (Aggie) of Toronto, Jeff, Lauren and Coby Booke of Calgary, Julie (Brad) Booke of Winnipeg, Mia and Hannah Pertsovsky of Toronto. Bert was a kind and gentle person respected by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his many years at Broadway Drugs and Nathan Detroits. Bert served overseas in the RCAF in the Postal Division in London. Bert was a resident of the Sharon Home for the past six years. Our sincere thanks to his companions, Demi and Frances, and the caring staff on the fourth floor. Bert was predeceased by his brother David and sister-in-law Jennie, his sister Shirley Klurfine and brothers-in-law, Charlie Klurfine and Max Jacobson. Graveside service to be held at the Shaarey Zedek cemetery, Friday, July 12 at 2:30 p.m. Gate 3, the family plot. If desired, contributions can be made to the Sharon Home or a charity of your choice.
