NILTON JOHN FERNANDES It is with great sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Nilton John Fernandes. Left to treasure his memory are his loving parents, John and Olga; and brother Paulo. Also left are his grand-mothers, Gilda and Marie Jose; uncles, Jaime (Carman) of Winnipeg, Belarmino (Filomena) of Brazil; aunts, Alzira (Euginio) of Spain, Deolinda (Alexandre), Portugal; cousins, Paulo, Cristina, Kelsey, Ari, Jules and Barbara; along with numerous friends and extended family members. Nilton was a wonderful young man that always made his parents proud. He will be remembered for his quiet, gentle spirit and his shyness of cameras. Niltons passions in life were his family, friends, music, wrestling and body building. He graduated from Daniel McIntyre School and was currently enrolled at the University of Manitoba. His desire was to become involved in sports medicine. Prayers will be held on Monday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., with Rev. Fr. Samuel N. Argenziano, V.F. officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nick, Pedro, Rick, Kevin, Tony and Jhoreek. If family or friends so desire, flowers may be sent to Cropo Chapel. If family or friends so wish, a donation may be made in Niltons memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
