THORA FELL October 28, 1927 - August 13, 2002 Peacefully on August 13, 2002 at the Grace Hospital as the result of an accident. Thora will be lovingly remembered by her son Billy; daughter Patricia; sister Pat; and brother Gib. Thora was predeceased by her loving husband Bill in 1982; son Barry in 1988; brother Linc in 1998; and her parents, Dori and Thruda Stefansson. She was born in Mozart, SK and raised in various towns in Manitoba. She received her B.A. degree from the University of Manitoba in 1949. Thora married Bill Fell in 1949, and together they travelled extensively. Thora was a well respected secretary for several schools in the St. James Assiniboia School Division. She had a great social conscience and was an active member of the Deer Lodge United Church, and was also active in many volunteer organizations. She had a very keen mind, and was a life long learner. Thora enjoyed playing bridge, reading, travelling and tending her flower gardens. Thora had a warm and compassionate heart, and was an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed. Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Deer Lodge United Church. Reception to follow, which will be announced at the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8, or to a favourite charity.
