Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCIENNE LAGIMODIERE (nee MARCOUX) Entouree par sa famille, Lucienne Lagimodiere sest eteinte paisiblement le mercredi 28 aout 2002. Cest avec un courage incroyable et une joie de vivre que Lucienne a vecu les dernieres annees. Malgre la maladie qui lencombrait et qui la faisait souffrir, Lucienne a su repandre lamour partout ou elle allait. Lucienne a travaille a lexterieur de la maison depuis les annees 60, ou elle a cultive beaucoup damities. Elle aimait visiter, jaser, feter, lire, courir apres des ventes de garages, explorer des nouveaux lieux et surtout passer du temps avec sa famille et ses petits enfants. Lucienne rejoint son epoux Gabriel decede en 1996. Lucienne laisse dans le deuil ses trois enfants, Michele (Renald) Gagnon, Gibs (Rosemary), Ginette (Benoit) Grise; neuf petits enfants, Remi et Rae, Vania et Pierre, Yves, Nadine, Rachelle, Alexis, Camille, Ray, Felix et son arriere petite-fille Gabrielle, ainsi que son frere Lionel Marcoux et son amie Francesca, sa belle-soeur Simone Lagimodiere, de nombreux cousins, cousines, neveux et nieces et beaucoup damis. Les prieres seront recitees a 10h le samedi 31 aout, suivis de la Messe de la Resurrection en lEglise Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, Lorette, MB, presidee par M. labbe Maurice Jeanneau. Linhumation aura lieu dans le cimetiere paroissial de Lorette. La famille aimerait remercier tout le personnel de la Villa Youville qui lont accueille a coeur ouvert au mois de fevrier 2002. Votre respect, amour et appui nous reconforteront dans ces moments difficiles. Merci egalement aux employees fideles du Home Care. Vous lavez soutenue avec dignite. Merci aux medecins et au personnel de lhopital Ste-Anne pour des soins respectueux lors de ses nombreuses visites, specialement Dr. Bissonnette pour les annees de soins. LUCIENNE LAGIMODIERE (nee MARCOUX) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Lucienne Lagimodiere passed away at the Villa Youville, Ste. Anne, MB, on August 28, 2002. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michele (Renald) Gagnon, Gibs (Rosemary) and Ginette (Benoit) Grise as well as her grandchildren, Remi and Rae, Vania and Pierre, Yves, Nadine, Rachelle, Alexis, Camille, Ray, Felix and her great-granddaughter, Gabrielle. She leaves to mourn her brother Lionel Marcoux and special friend Francesca; sister-in-law Simone Lagimodiere; nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her loving life-time husband, Gabriel in 1996. Lucienne was a loyal employee of Manitoba Society for Disabled Children, Stanchem, College Universitaire de St-Boniface, where she cultivated many friendships. Born in Lorette, raised during the Depression years in a strongbed of community she returned after a brief absence to begin her family, drawing upon a network of family and friends. In February 2002 she was welcomed with warmth and respect at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne. Here again, her love of life and genuine respect of others gained her many friends. Lucienne loved her family, friends, relatives, sewing, gardening, garage sales, reading, conversations and most of all, her children and grandchildren. Her courage and caring of others is your greatest legacy, Mom. Prayers will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of the Resurrection in the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church in Lorette, MB with Father Maurice Jeanneau presiding. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. The family would like to express a sincere and profound thank you to all at Villa Youville who gave such loving and respectful care to our mother. We would also like to thank the Home Care team, who helped her to continue to live independently. Thank you to the doctors and personnel at Ste. Anne Hospital who cared for her with great respect over the years especially her attending physician, Dr. Bissonnette.
