ARNOLD ALFRED SMITH On Saturday, Nov-ember 16, 2002 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB Arnold Alfred Smith, aged 78 years, peacefully passed away with family, Rev. Brad Elliott, and friends present. Arnold was born to John and Elizabeth Smith near Wordsworth, SK. He is survived by his wife Gertrude; two sons, Eldon (Kathy) and their children, Matthew, Justin, Rachael; and son Glenn and friend Tracy. Arnold is also survived by six sisters, Bernice (Frank) Verger, Martha (Ray) Minkus, Mata (Henry) Harder, Marilyn (Emmanuel) Scholpp, Beverly (Richard) Sovdi, and Elaine Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Arnold was predeceased by his parents; four brothers Walter, Arthur, Hester, and Emil; and one sister Betty Dickinson. Funeral service will be held from the Grace - St. Johns Church in Carman on Saturday, November 23 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Jim Halmorson officiating. Viewing will take place prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Brunkild Cemetery, Brunkild, MB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grace - St. Johns Church in Carman, or to a charity of ones choice.
