EDWARD (ED) FOLLHOFFER It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward Follhoffer on Friday, November 22, 2002 at the Selkirk General Hospital, after a brief illness, at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his wife Katie; children, Kate (Don) Danners and Erwin (Ellen) grandchildren, David, Jill, Michael and Karl. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary Kostiuk in 2000. Ed was born in Urom, Hungary on September 16, 1925 and was one of eight siblings. In 1948, Ed and Katie were married and a year later they immigrated to Canada. He worked for the St. Andrews School as a custodian, retiring in 1993 after 25 years of dedicated service. Ed was an active member of the German Society, where many lasting friendships were developed. Known well in his neighborhood, Ed and Katie have resided in St. Andrews for the 37 years. He enjoyed dancing, music, jokes, gardening and his yard. Ed loved his family and he had many friends. He loved life! A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel. Interment to be held at a later date. The family wishes to express there heartfelt thanks to the staff at Selkirk General Hospital for all their care and compassion and special thanks to Bev Murray.
