Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS WILLIAM THOMPSON Born, Winnipeg, MB, April 22, 1939, departed this world November 30, 2002, after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer. Doug is survived by children, Angela Raithby, Douglas Raithby, Tracey Raithby, Dana Thompson, Victoria Thompson, Daphne Thompson; brother Don (Marilyn) in Vancouver; as well as cousins in Winnipeg, Brandon and Vancouver. He is loved and will be missed by friends and family in Winnipeg, Sudbury and Manitoulin Island. Doug was educated in Winnipeg and relocated to Northern Ontario in the mid 1960s. He loved sports, being in nature, and was very concerned about the well being of the global eco system. A prayer service for family and friends will be held at the Sudbury Regional Hospital Chapel at 12:00 noon, Wednesday December 11, 2002. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Eastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre would be appropriatfe. A very special thank you to all the staff at Sudbury Regional Hospital and NEORCC. Your tenderness and sincere caring is and was appreciated by Doug and amily.

Today would have been your birthday. It’s been 24 years since we were reunited and 24 years since I had to say goodbye to you again.
