SARAH FEHR Our mother passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2002 in her residence at Bethel Place at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Fehr in 1960. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her son Donald (Pat) her daughter June (Albert) Braun; her grandchildren, Doug (Shelley Will) Fehr, Bruce Fehr, Tom (Michelle) Fehr, Robert (Mielle Grant) Braun, Marilyn (Bruce) Kuhnle and Heather Smith; her great-grandchildren, Meghan and Katherine Fehr, Michelle, Monica and Bryan Kuhnle and Benjamin Braun; her sisters, Tena Siemens, Helen Werner, and Edna Siemens as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Mother was born on November 26, 1908 and married Jacob Fehr on July 1, 1930. They lived in Rosenfeld, McMahon, SK, Plum Coulee and Winkler before moving to Winnipeg in 1958. After her husbands death, she was first employed at the Manitoba Home for Girls and later at the Provincial Laboratory. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed leadership roles in community activities such as the Womens Institute and the 4H Club. Mother was a longtime member of Harrow United Church and for many years served as the corresponding secretary. Viewing will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19 at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel on Friday, December 20 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Teresa Moysey officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or a charity of your choice.
