WILLIAM JOHN FARRINGTON "BILL" Peacefully, with his loving wife by his side, on December 23, 2002 at the Riverview Health Centre Bill passed away at the age of 69 years. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years, Lillian; his children, Keith (Keri), Tracey (Craig) Harper and their daughter Kira; his sister Doris (Gord) Quinn; his brother James (Ruth) and sister-in-law Florence (Vic) Ives. Bill was predeceased by his parents Percy and Nina. Bill was born on February 15, 1933 in Winnipeg. He retired in 1994 after 36 years of service with the City of Winnipeg Fire Department as District Chief. Bill was a life member of the Fort Rouge Legion (Past President). He was a member of the Ancient Landmark No. 5, the Scottish Rite and Khartum Shrine Patrol (Past President). Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28 at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bills memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
