ADAM LAGUNIAK It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Adam Laguniak, 98, of Waterloo Street, at the Victoria General Hospital on February 3, 2003. Trained as a master shoemaker in Poland, he began his Canadian career with M. Mignacca and the Officers Kit Shop. He began his business, Academy Shoe Rebuilders on Academy Road before the Second World War, operating it as manager until 1984. He was widely known in Manitoba as an expert in Foot Orthotics. He is survived by his wife Jean; his daughter Waltra Greene of Albany, NY; three grand-children, Deidre Greene of Minneapolis, St. Paul, Cheryl Greene of Toronto and Michael Greene of Missawa, Japan; as well as a great-grand-daughter Medora of St. Paul, MN. There are two sisters, Helen and Maria Wachowniak in France and Wanda Selneacca in Poland; as well as many nieces and nephews in Poland, France, the U.S.A. and Canada. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
