Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISOBEL ESTELLE POVAH Isobel passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2003 at the age of 77 years. She was born Isobel Bilton in Winnipeg on May 20, 1925. She spent her early years in Winnipeg where she met and married the love of her life, Dr. Art Povah. Art and Isobel spent over 55 happy years together. They lived in Ninette, Atlanta, Brandon, and finally Kelowna. Isobel was a going concern and active in the community. Her home and cottage were always open to her extended family. There was always room at the table for another guest. She was generous with her time and her energy. Isobel lived life to the fullest. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren. She was very proud of her family and set a fine example for them. She and Papa will live on in them. Isobel is survived by her loving family, her daughter Barbara (Rob) Tisdale of Winnipeg and their children, Christine (Lee) Davis and Mark (Margaret) Tisdale. Her son Bruce (Carole) Povah of Kelowna and their children, Cheryl, Andrew and Julia. Two brothers, Len (Lil) Bilton and Ranny (Monda) Bilton, all of Winnipeg and one sister-in-law Mary (John) Parker of Vancouver, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was sadly predeceased by her loving husband Art in August 2001. Memorial services held on Wednesday, February 26 at 4:30 p.m. from the chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelowna General Hospital Foundation: 2268 Pandosy St., Kelowna, BC V1Y 1T2 or to the Brandon General Hospital Foundation, 150 McTavish Ave. E., Brandon, MB.
