Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOSKAR EGGERT G. FINNSON Oskar passed away peacefully at age 96 on March 29, 2003 in Selkirk. He was predeceased by his parents, Gudjon and Gudrun; his brothers and sister, Grimur, Einar, Kristjon, Olafur, Finnur, Fridrika and Jon. Survived by sister-in-law Betty and numerous nephews and nieces. Oskar served overseas in the Second World War in the 17th Field Battalion R.C.A. (C.A.). Upon his return, he fished on Lake Winnipeg nearly all his life. He retired to Riverton Icelandic Lodge and later moved to Selkirk due to health reasons. At Mr. Finnsons request, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place at a later date. Special thanks to all staff and friends at Tudor House in Selkirk.
