STANLEY PIKE On April 27, 2003, Stanley Pike of Netley, MB was released from his pain and sent to the arms of the Lord, with his loving wife Kay at his side, at the age of 80 years. He fought a long hard battle with Parkinsons and Cancer and silently endured his pain. His special personality and sense of humour paving the way. Stanley was predeceased by his parents John and Marianne; brothers Steve and Marion and sister Henrietta. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years, Kay; daughters Frances (Rick) Mellen and Shirley (Greg) Wintink; grandchildren, Richard, Chris, Shannon, Danny and Anessa; brother John (Ann) and sister Jean (Winston) Queen. Stanley was born in Poland and came to Canada in 1938. He lived and farmed in Netley, MB, his tractors and farm were part of his heart and soul. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Georges Anglican Church, Wakefield, with Rev. Canon Godfrey Mawejje officiating. Interment to follow in the churchyard cemetery. The family wishes to thank all his homecare workers and the nurses and staff at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Palliative Care Unit at the Selkirk & District General Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
