EDWARD JULIUS MARTIN It is with deep sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our father Edward Julius Martin on June 22, 2003, at the Altona Hospital at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude and daughter Tessa. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, Ron (Dyanne), Gordon (Joan) two daughters, Myrna, Sheila; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Dad grew up in Niverville, married Gertrude in 1939 in Rosenfeld. He ran many different businesses while residing in Rosenfeld, then moved to Altona and owned a radio and TV shop known as Martins Service. He was a lifetime member of the altona Elks Lodge No. 447. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, from the St. John Lutheran Church in Rosenfeld, MB, with interment to follow at the Rosenfeld Cemetery. Viewing will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Wiebe Funeral Home in Altona, MB, also at the church prior to the service.
