KEITH POTTER With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Keith Potter on June 26, 2003. Keith is lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn, his sons, Antoine and Jean; his brothers, Ian (Janice) and Anna, Adrienne, and Mary Elizabeth; Colin and Amy and Ryan; and Don (Bev) and Cassandra (Sean) Bird and Michael (Kimberlee). Keith was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Norman Potter, and by his stepmother Mary Potter. Born in 1941, Keith spent his boyhood in Woodhaven, along the shores of Sturgeon Creek. He later worked in Victoria and Montreal. Keith and Marilyn were married in 1969 and later enjoyed wonderful times in Greece and England. After obtaining his BA and BEd at the University of Manitoba, Keith taught and worked in Winnipeg, except for the year the family spent in the Queen Charlotte Islands. Well read, with a keen interest in many subjects, and with his gifted mind, Keith was a passionate learner. He also enjoyed sports, cooking, bike riding, listening to music, the summers at Victoria Beach, and especially his time with Antoine and Jean. He was a devoted father to his two sons, and together with Marilyn, taught them to love learning as he did, but also taught them to be loving and compassionate human beings, as he was. Keiths generous spirit and kind heart made him truly a "man for others" he is deeply missed. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for the many kindnesses, prayers, and offers of support during this difficult time. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at St. Ignatius Church, at Stafford and Corydon. A private family interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Keiths memory to a charity of your choice. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: EDWARD J.
