DONALD EDWIN WATKINS Born: July 7, 1943 Peacefully, surrounded by close family and friends, Don Watkins passed away late on the evening of June 27, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre. He will be fondly remembered by daughter Tara; brothers, Ray and Gord (Susan) nieces, nephews, extended family and his personal caregivers. Dons ability to persevere in the face of lifes adversities reveals his exceptional inner strength and courage. He touched more lives than most; always sharing, encouraging and engaging people with his passionate perspectives on art, life and culture. Dons unique character, humor, and creativity were, and will continue to be, an inspiration to all those who were close to him. He will be sadly missed, as a mentor and friend, to all those in his life. He will never be forgotten. The family would like to thank the staff at the IICU for their compassion. Based upon Dons wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spinal Cord Research Centre in Winnipeg.
