Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN KUBRAK 1917 - 2003 On July 17, 2003, John Kubrak died peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital, beloved husband of 57 years to Tamara (Margaret), father of Alexander (Debbie) and Nora Trudel, grandfather of Michael, Salena, John, Tamara, and Anita, great-grandfather of Tamika. John was born April 20, 1917 in Buniv, Ukraine, one of eight children of Stephen and Eudokia Kubrak. After marrying Tamara on March 14, 1946, they shortly thereafter immigrated to Canada to seek a better life for themselves and their family. John was a talented man with many gifts. His love of building and fixing anything around the house he shared generously with his son Alexander and grandson John. A tailor/furrier by trade, John always put his family first, providing both necessities of life and overwhelming love and support. A kind hearted man who loved to share his views and ideas with his friends and family over a home cooked meal. His family was his pride and joy. John belonged to Prosvita and sang in the Millenium and Dumka choirs. He was an avid supporter of his beloved Ukraine and his many relatives in Ukraine. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 21 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 also at the Cathedral with Rev. N. Yakiwchuk and Rev. P.
