Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN LACHOWSKI 1944 - 2003 Allan Lachowski, aged 58 years, passed away accidentally on Friday, July 18, 2003 doing what he loved best - tending to his farm near Beausejour, MB. Allan was born on December 28, 1944 in St. Boniface Hospital to the late Marguerite and Albert Lachowski of Cromwell, MB. Allan lived all his life on the family farm. He enjoyed farming and working with his cattle. As well, in the late 1970s and part of the 1980s, he raised chickens and sold eggs to the Beausejour Hatchery, where the eggs were hatched into chicks. Allan was involved in 4-H and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed square dancing and was looking forward to this fall when it would resume. He is survived by three sisters, twin sisters, Elaine Smith and husband Walter, Diana Bangert and husband Albert, and Adele Weedmark and husband Garnet and stepmother Josephine. He is also survived by one niece Marguerite Thiessen (Reg) and their daughter Kelsey; six nephews, Carl Bangert (Leanne) and their daughters, Courtney and Eva, Brian (Lea) and their children, Kelby and Elise, Mark, Dean (Kylie) and their soon to be born son Joshua Dean Gerry, Jeffrey (Norma) and their son Matthew, and Garnet Weedmark Jr. He is also survived by his Godmother and aunt, Isabel Kubish. Allan was predeceased by his mother Marguerite on August 22, 1962, father Albert on August 17, 1989, and great-niece Baby Hannah Bangert, daughter of Carl and Leanne Bangert, on January 23, 1999. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 23 at 10:30 a.m., also at the church, with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ladywood. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Carl, Brian, Dean and Mark Bangert, Garnet Weedmark Jr., Jeff Smith, and his sisters, Elaine and Diana. All those in attendance may consider themselves honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allans memory may be made to St. Mary Roman Catholic Memorial Fund, East Gate Lodge, or the Beausejour and District Hospital. The family sincerely thanks the Beausejour RCMP, Cpl. Scott Telfer and Sgt. Shuttleworth, the Beausejour Fire Department and the Beausejour Ambulance for all their help.
