PATRICIA EILEEN MAGER (nee McKAY) Peacefully on August 5, 2003, at the age of 65, Pat passed away with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Marie-Louise McKay; brothers, Edward (Bunny) and Paul McKay; brother-in-law Alan Sargeant and sister-in-law Joy McKay. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Ray of 47 years; her children, Michael (Gail), David (Shirley), Kim (Robert) and Jo-Ann (Ken) her grandchildren Christy, Jamie, Trevor, Tianna, Aislinn, Scott, Megan and Dana; her sisters, Mona Sargeant of Gimli, MB and Maureen (Ray) Donahoe of Ottawa, ON; sister-in-law Judy McKay of Calgary, AB and her many nieces and nephews including her special niece Gail Syberg. Mom was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and even let Dad win a few games of Scrabble once in a while. She took great pride in her home and garden and especially took pleasure in dining out with Dad. Grandma/Nana loved all her grandchildren and they always put a smile on her face. Mom, you will always be missed and remembered. We all love you. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all the staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit, especially Tracey and Debbie, for the excellent care that was provided for Mom. Thank you to Palliative Home Care nurse Leena, for helping Mom stay at home for as long as she could and to Rita, thanks for keeping Mom looking her very best. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Pats life will be held on Friday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. A private family interment will be held. Flowers are appreciated as Pat loved her flowers or if friends so desire, donations in Pats memory can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Ward, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
