BAILEY E. ROSS It is with great sadness that the family of Bailey Ross announces his passing on August 14, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 64. He was predeceased by his father Malcolm. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and soulmate of 42 years, Barbara; daughters Tracy Wiebe and Lori Ross; his two grandchildren Amanda and Brandon Wiebe; mother Kathleen Ross; brother Terry Ross and his wife Joan, along with their children Terri-Lyn and Jeffrey (Christina). Bailey was born on May 2, 1939 and grew up on a family farm in Hazelridge, MB. He met and married Barbara in 1961 and they settled in East Kildonan, where they raised their family and lived for 30 years. After working for the Manitoba Telephone System for 34 years, Bailey retired in 1993. Bailey and Barb moved to Paradise Village where he spent many hours woodcarving, riding on his 4-wheeler, travelling with Barb, spending time with his grandchildren or sitting out on his sunporch, enjoying the outdoors. Even though he was ill, Baileys sense of humour and his concern for others always shone through. The family wishes to thank Dr. Krahn and nurse Maggie Smith of Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, and Dr. Kevin Halliday and the nurses at St. Boniface Medical Intensive Care Unit for the compassion and kindness they showed to Bailey. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of ones choice. We will love you always.
