NORMA LAFERRIERE (nee BURNELL) On Thursday, August 28, 2003, Norma, dearly beloved wife of the late Charles Laferriere, passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital. She is survived by her children, Gail (Don), Gerald (Cheryl), Kerry Guay (Rhonda) grandchildren, Kelly and Danielle; and Sylvia; as well as siblings in Manitoba and Alberta. Norma was born in Strathclair and was a nurse at the Selkirk General Hospital for many years before retiring in 1989. In compliance with Normas wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Many thanks to former co-workers for their care and concern and to the ambulance, emergency and ward staff for their hugs and love. Also, thanks to Dr Graham Fuchs, Dr. Irma Reich, Anne McRae, Edie and Orville Marshall, Nita and Len Williams and the wonderful Home Care staff. I tried hard to maintain my strength, courage and dignity and smile through my difficult illness, but I never could have done so without my family, dear friends and relatives who shopped, escorted me to medical appointments, visited, and phoned.
