FITZ EDRIED GREAVES Peacefully with his family and friends at his side, Ed passed away on September 2, 2003 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years Vashti, son Owen (Cheryl), grandson Drey, sister-in-law Marlene (Michael) Moyo, nephew Kristian, and numerous family and friends in Barbados, Canada and England. Ed was predeceased by his parents. Ed was born in Barbados on August 23, 1935 and immigrated to England in 1960. In 1976 Ed immigrated to Winnipeg, MB, where he worked for the Health Sciences Centre up to his retirement in 2000. We extend our appreciation and thanks to the many family, friends and neighbours who helped and supported us during this difficult time. Special thanks to the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital, Christy at CancerCare Manitoba and Sharon with The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 7, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8, at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given in Eds memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
