Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT ALPHONSE LANGLOIS December 13, 1919- September 13, 2003 Robert was born in Winnipegosis and was the last surviving of 11 children born to Alphonse and Madeleine (nee Richard) Langlois. He leaves to mourn his passing, one son Gordie and two daughters, Linda (Ilchyna) and Lorna (Poole) as well as numerous grandchildren and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Christina (Daniels) in 1955 and son Louie (1998). Robert loved life and lived it with gusto. He fought in the Second World War and was seriously wounded, but made a near full recovery. He held a commercial fishing license and fished for sixty years across the Northern Prairies. When not fishing, he worked at a variety of other jobs like slinging beer and bouncing in pubs, moving buildings, hauling gravel, cooking and ranching. He had fond memories of all these pursuits. He enjoyed boxing, gambling, hockey and the company of others. Having lived a full and complete life he had no fear of dying and was pleased to have "kept his marbles to the end". Cremation has taken place and no service was requested. His remains are to be interred with those of his wife, in Stonewall at a later date.
